AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ActivTrak, Inc. today announced the addition of two software industry leaders to its Board of Directors: Mark McClain, CEO and Founder of SailPoint Technologies (NYSE: SAIL); and Max Wessel, executive vice president and chief learning officer at SAP (NYSE: SAP).
Both leaders have years of experience scaling businesses that have helped define and disrupt their respective software industries through the delivery of enterprise-class solutions. McClain has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years and co-founded two companies – Waveset Technologies (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and SailPoint – that have pioneered innovation in the identity management market. He is the author of Joy and success at work: creating organizations that don’t suck (people’s lives) and a recognized expert in building companies with employee-centric cultures.
“I’ve spent my career as an executive and leading high-performing teams with the philosophy that a happy, fulfilled employee is one who has a voice and a stake in the company,” McClain said. “I am thrilled to join ActivTrak’s Board of Directors and champion its mission to help companies of all sizes become more employee-centric and employee-centric organizations.”
Wessel is responsible for educating, enabling, and driving transformation for SAP customers, partners, developers, and employees, including the SAP community and nearly $400 million learning business from SAP. Previously, he served as Chief Innovation Officer at SAP, where he developed SAP’s Process Intelligence capabilities and created SAP’s initial Low-Code No-Code software business. Wessel lectures on innovation and strategy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a venture partner with Nextgen Venture Partners.
“Our goal as leaders is to help information flow from employee to employee, guide behavior and ensure the right collective actions are taken in pursuit of a common goal,” said Wessel. “It is now more important than ever. I’m excited to help ActivTrak move the industry forward with solutions that help businesses continue to adopt, adapt and succeed in the new future of work.
“The way we work today is ripe for innovation and disruption, from the way teams communicate and collaborate to the way products are designed and delivered.
