Bank of Scotland has appointed two new account managers to its small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and medium-sized businesses team in Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders.
Stuart Clark and Alan Bedford join nine existing employees in its commercial banking team.
They will work with businesses in Edinburgh and the Greater Edinburgh Area to provide tailored advice and support.
The team supports businesses in all industries including hospitality, manufacturing and technology. Emphasis is also placed on supporting companies in the dental, pharmaceutical and real estate sectors.
Clark and Bedford will also work closely with local SMEs and mid-sized businesses to identify how they can offer sustainability support to help businesses meet their net zero goals.
Bedford said: “I’ve been in the financial services industry for almost 15 years so it’s great to join a new team where growth is in the spotlight.
“I am passionate about the work the Bank of Scotland is doing to support businesses on the path to net zero. It has been a difficult few years, but focusing on a greener way of working will contribute to long-term growth and increase resilience. Scottish businesses for future generations.
Clark added: “It is an exciting time to join the team here, especially as we continue to support Scottish businesses emerging from the pandemic.”
The new appointments come three months after Angela Smillie and Clare Richardson took on the post of area manager for Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders on a job-sharing basis.
With 35 years of combined expertise in financial services, Smillie previously led sustainability for SMEs across the UK, and Richardson has helped North East clients make the energy transition in recent years.
