As the country’s business community tries to pick up the pace of the pandemic recovery, the Productivity Club Scotland has confirmed the list of guest speakers for its annual conference.

The free one-day event, Productivity Matters, was designed specifically to address some of the complex issues facing the commercial sector after a difficult few years.

The conference aims to provide support, practical advice and innovative ideas to improve productivity.

Speakers include Nico Simeone, founder of the Six by Nico restaurant chain; Sean Duffy, Managing Director of the Wise Group; and Kate Forbes, Finance and Economics Secretary.

Their talks complement a series of hands-on workshops and case study sessions.

Simone commented: “The hospitality industry has obviously suffered a lot over the past two years and the creative and entrepreneurial culture within Six by Nico has been key to sustaining the business.

“The conference provides an excellent forum to come together and share thoughts and ideas as we all seek to take advantage of new opportunities and recover from the challenges and uncertainties of the past two years.”

Productivity Club Scotland program manager Eleonora Vanello sees the conference as an opportunity for micro, small and medium enterprises to come together to network and address business challenges.

The conference will be held both online and in person at the Royal Bank of Scotland Conference Center in Gogarburn, Edinburgh, for a limited number of places, on February 24, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
