Tractor industry sales down to 59,586 units in July 2022

India’s tractor industry sold 59,586 units last month, compared to 80,980 units sold in July 2021, said tractor junctiona digital marketplace for tractors and farm equipment.

According to Tractor Junction, five states – Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat – accounted for the majority of tractor sales last month.

The decline is largely due to a high base from the previous year and an uneven distribution of the monsoon season.

July witnessed floods, waterlogging and heavy rains that disrupted normal life for days in various parts of the country.

Sales figures do not include state sales data. Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Tractor Junction said.

“July tractor sales are down due to a higher base last year. PLA) in August and September and good crop yield bodes well for volumes of tractors and other farm equipment,” Rajat GuptaFounder, said Tractor Junction.
